is she eggbounded?

My female panther chameleon beggin digging monday this week.She try again tuesday but since then she stop digging. I'm worrie about her . She don't eat much and always stay on the same branch.

I don't always watch her she got her own room. i only go to mist her cage and feed her.

Should i go see a vet or is it too soon??? I don't want her to die because eggbounding.

please help!

I know with my veiled she had to visit the laying bin a few times and wandered around her cage for a few days before she started digging in earnest. Mine stopped eating for 3-4 days before she laid. Keep your eye on her for a few more days and see what happens.

Is the laying dirt too dry or too loose. She may not like the lack of dampness in the soil. How long has she been off her food?? And I assume you have not let her see you watching her dig. If she thinks her secret laying location is known , then she will abandon it.

Well, we had a ficus in a pot of 10'' with dirt in it in the tank.but today we repotted her ficus in a bigger pot with humid sand in it. and we saw that even if the dirtwas humid in the old pot,it was very compact because the plant have lot's of roots.

She may have saw us twice looking at her when she was diggin. But we try to let her privacy. she got her own room and she's alone most of the day we only see her for misting her cage and giving her food.

she did not completely stop eating , she eat approximately one cricket a day since monday.

we bought her a month ago and we didn't know she was gravid.

do you think it's to soon to go see a vet, should i let her a couple more days before taking her to the vet??

When did her first digging take place?

How many days has it been since?

Have you tested the soil's stability you provided for her?

I would supplement her "one cricket" per day with more calcium. Make sure u offer her plenty of water. Keep her cage clean, simply spot clean quickly. Try NOT to change much in her set-up, it might cause stress in the sudden change, especially since she's gravid. Put towels around her cage for COMPLETE PRIVACY.

Peak in prior to opening her cage for tossing in her feeder(s) and spot cleaning. Make sure you DO NOT disturb her if she is back in the soil.

If you catch her moving to a different location, and is having trouble, change her UV lighting. The eggs with this process uses alot of her calcium.

She layed 27 eggs yesturday!!!They are all in the incubator!!! Hope they will be fertiles!!!
