Is something wrong with my chameleon?

I can't tell from your picture what's going on with the tail. A vet isn't needed, if it's just stuck skin. If it's missing flesh and you see tissue/bone, it needs a vet, immediately. I doubt you'd see more than $150 bill for a local aenesthetic, maybe a cauterizing or sutures, and antibiotic medication. No crickets should be permitted to be in the cage, roaming. This could be a hungry cricket's handiwork or might be made worse by crickets, if crickets didn't cause it. If flesh is missing, you need to find and eliminate the cause.

And most likely the vet will judge by the color of that tail and how much damage within jus to cut that part off and prescribed an antibacterial topic cream for ur cham.

My chameleon is really anxious when im around it, idk how to make it not afraid of me.

Start a new thread on that subject, since this thread is about his tail.so what are you going to do about the tail???

like idk if its shedding because only half of it kinda looks like that, plus ive never seen a shedding chameleon tail in person. should i wait to see if it is just shedding or?

If his tail falls off, will some of it grow back?

I am going to make an educated guess and say no. The tail may grow longer as the cham gets older, but only to scale of what it is missing the area. Chams are not like iguana that grow there tail back. I make this guess by the fact I have seen alot of chams with obviously amputated tails nubs at the end of a short tail.
