My veiled Cham quit eating for the past couple days, no dubias cricket and she will sometimes take a superworm from my hand. She was eating out the cup but know its like she dont want to go in the cut to get them, she looks right at them but just passes. She is also wondering around her cage even going as low as the bottom witch she hasnt done in a while.I have a large tupperware container with about 7 inches of sand and vermiculite mix for the lay bin but she is only about 6-7 mths. Is she looking for a male? is she wanting to find food not in the cup?Anyone please let me know if i should worry?

She might be gravid and is just starting the fasting. If that's the case she should start digging in th next few days. Filling out the how to ask for help form never hurts though. Re-check the laying bin also just to make sure it's moist enough.

Is your cham feeling better??? Hopefully she is! But if not..fill this out and it will help members to find a solution to what's wrong with her.

every time i ask a question on here i have to fill out something. Can anyone not just explain what might be happening...im just gonna feed her superworms gutloaded with what i feed my roaches and crickets she seems to eat them just fine.

No we can't, we don't know every bit of your husbandry and haven't even seen the animal. Even with the form filled out, we can only guess at what could be wrong.

I'm just a member here, a newbie at that, but I wanted to suggest that if nothing has changed with your setup since the last time you filled out the form you could copy and paste the basics in to your new question/thread. It just helps with so many people on the forum to be able to glance through the setup, feeding, etc. information before someone starts throwing out ideas on what it could be.

For instance, if I posted that mine wasn't eating, even though I filled out the form three weeks ago about a different issue, people around here aren't going to remember what I wrote on that form so they might end up asking me all those questions anyhow while trying to help me. Which would be just as annoying to me as having to fill out the form in the first place.:)

Sometimes searching keywords will help too. I cannot believe how much I've learned just by searching this forum and reading through old threads.

Is the sand in the laying bin moist enough to hold a tunnel?

krbshappy's idea is good. We should probably encourage everyone to copy their "form" the first time they post it so that in the future they need only paste it in and make any relevant changes.

I looked through your old threads and posts and never saw a "how to ask for help" form completed.

chameleons sometimes get tired of eating the same thing... they do like a variity sometimes or would just prefer one thing... seems yours is into what it is eating now. get a bearded dragon, they will eat anything your cham won't and then some.. and take a chill pill

Hello TattooedGecko

It sounds like she's going to be laying eggs soon. Or maybe its because you appear to only feed her superworms (variety is important). We'd love to try to help you, if only you'd be so kind as to answer a few simple questions IN DETAIL as per the "Form" questionnaire (in addition to the photos and minimal info you have already posted). It would be helpful to know how much you have been feeding her, what temperatures you keep her at, how you measure those temps, etc.

You might also like to review the forum rules, especially:
"Chameleon Forums will not tolerate rudeness, personal attacks, derogatory insults, bigotry, defamatory comments, or purposeless inflammatory behavior."
and adjust your language accordingly.

While the disagreements continue, you may want to contemplate setting up a box with something for your chameleon to lay eggs in.. You can do a search on the forum for more information as to what kind of box, and what kind of material, etc. It sounds as though your chameleon may be getting ready to lay a clutch of eggs. Just a thought...

Roight, so I've cleaned this thread up a little but let me reiterate rules #2 and #8 from the TOS:

2: Chameleon Forums will not tolerate rudeness, personal attacks, derogatory insults, bigotry, defamatory comments, or purposeless inflammatory behavior. Our decision is final in these matters.
8: Content submitted should be appropriate for all ages. Please refrain from using profanity and discussing adult topics.

TattooedGecko. Honestly these people only want to help you and by such it is very important that the "Ask for Help" form be filled out. Yes it's lengthy. Yes it's difficult. And yes, perhaps you've filled it out before but nobody has the time to go back through 1000's of posts or read your mind. A few pics do help but an comprehensive review (via that form) of your husbandry is better. Nobody here can nor should assume what you are or are not doing with your pet.

Play nice and happy chamming.
