Hello everybody, I’m new to this and I just wanted to get some more tips and advice when bringing home you’re chameleon for the first time. I have been doing research for a couple years now and I’m finally biting the bullet and getting my first chameleon. Super excited to bring him home, but I was wondering if this setup is alright for now. Still working on it but any tips would be greatly appreciated. Thank you :) Also .. there is now reptile carpet laid down and the plants are out of the containers now. I just took this picture before.

Its a good start and mybe a few more plats at top til other plants gwt bigger. Like some fake vines or something like that. Nothing too big. And what lighting arw you using.

I do have a few more fake plants and some vines in the mail I will add when they come in, and the lights I’m using are a basking bulb that is 75watt and the reptile sun 5.0 uvb bulb I believe I got lower bulbs for now because the chameleon I’m getting is only 2-3 months old id say.

5.0 is strong enough far as light rays go. Stronger can hurt them. But soon as you can i would get a 5.0 T5 HO lunar bulb. Much better for them then compact bulbs.

Yes I will defiantly switch to that once I have a little more room in the area of where I’m putting the cage, I have heard nothing but good things about that for sure!
