is this an ok home for my veiled cham?

I have had my male cham for about 6-7 months and I am wondering if he needs any upgrades. I got a proper fogger around Christmas and have had a mister the whole time. He has a compact uvb I know I will need a bar soon so he will be getting that, he also has a heat bulb to keep his home at about 75 to basking 80 at night its about 60-68. the black hose in the second pic is his fogger

Hi. I’m afraid the correct uvb is something that really should never wait. The compact bulbs have no output beyond just a few inches and then the level is awful - goes from higher than anywhere on earth to nothing within an inch or so. This is a great one to get (you want 6% strength)and a great vendor too. Then your basking area needs to be about 8-9” below it for ideal uvb levels. We want the bulk of our chameleon’s vitamin D3 needs to come from their uvb and then our use of supplemental is basically just insurance that they are getting enough. This is an old video, but explains the differences in uvb very well. Also, I will caution against buying cheaper knock off brands to try and save a few bucks. I only tested one (if only I were richer) but I carefully chose the better known brand which is new to the USA, but is the quality brand in its home country (ReptiZoo). The output of a brand new uvb bulb, equivalent to a 5.0 was dismal. I have had Arcadia uvb bulbs that have been in use for over a year with better output. It’s great to save where we can, but this is not the place to be thrifty. Arcadia Pro T5 with a 6% bulb is my favorite because I can daily’s chain lights together. The other reliable brand is ReptiSun T5HO with a 5.0 bulb. Generally the first uvb bulb comes with the fixture.
I see that it looks like you have two enclosures combined in top of each other. I love combining enclosures to give chams more space. However, I would suggest combining them side by side if you have the space to do so. I sit them on 4’ long utility shelving units which have been the perfect size and the ends which stick up just a tad, have helped keep the enclosures together snugly. Although I did have to get out the angle grinder and cut the ends down on one later bought unit. I use thin wires to connect them together and for the gap between where the rounded screw heads meet, I have substituted flatter screws and then sunk them in to reduce the gap. I have even tried/use tiny little hinges to connect my two together. This is a fantastic DIY that may help. It came out after I had started combining mine and have just gone with my own way. This may also help in managing drainage. https://chameleonacademy.com/diy-drainage-trays/
To help hang branches, vines and even plants, there are Dragon Ledges https://dragonstrand.com/dragon-ledges/ which you can use with a double wide configuration. I had to use scrap garden trellis once and now that is what I regularly have been using. However you do it, just make sure that the frame is what holds the weight and not the screen.
There’s different projects and other info that you may find interesting over at https://chameleonacademy.com/ in articles, podcasts, videos, etc. Hope I’ve been of some help. :)
