Is this an ok temp for my veiled cham

This is the basking spot for my 6 or 7 month male veiled is this too hot its about 92 or 95 im using a 100w bulb. And the light is about 8 inches from top of tank

He looks a little cramped up against the top of the screen, I would move the branch down. As for temps, did you read the veiled care sheet here? It doesn’t look like he has too many vines, either. Could you fill out this form and post a pic of his entire enclosure, please?

Hes been doing fine in the tank im adding more vines but am about to move so waiting till i move he has plenty of vines and branches im gonna be adding a real plant into it here soon

Lots of things I’m noticing, first one is, is that a daylight blue bulb? You still should fill out the form. Ideally, once you get the money, you should invest in a t5HO linear uvb bulb and fixture. You need more branches and vines, mostly horizontal, everywhere, and plants/plant cover everywhere, too.

And yeah there zilla daylight blue bulbs and yes i have a linear uvb fixture on the way in the mail and once i add the two real plants there be plenty of coverage and branches just moving at the end of the month so just waiting. But thanks

Good job on the uvb bulb! Replace the blue bulb with a regular white light heat bulb. A heat incandescent bulb from the hardware store will do.

I had the regular one in but it was really blinding so thought it would be bright for him so i switched it to the blue one. Is the blue bulb bad or the regular white one give better heat

The blue bulb isn’t natural

Ok ill get a 100w regular white and switch it out just getting chilly so had that on hand only have 65w regular bulbs and its not hot enough for him so ill get 100w tonight

Do you have a temp gun? Play with the wattages until it’s the perfect temp

And hes 5 inches or so from his back to the top of the cage and same as his horn so hes not crazy cramped in that spot cause he has other area to bask but likes that spot so i felt if he was all cramped hed not bask there but i did move it down about 3 more inches
