Is this old news

It is old news, we do know about it, but we're not talking. Ferrel chameleon populations are not a good thing, especially in California where the government agencies are very touchy about invasive species (even if they couldn't thrive). This is why stuff like Pirahanas and Freshwater Stingrays are illegal. If ferrel chameleons became a problem they'd just start banning chameleons in California.

Dave is right. There are actually snakehead fish found here in Maryland which cause big problems. These are originally from Asia I think correct me if Im wrong.

You'll find pockets of Jackson's like this all up and down the California Coast. There is large a group of Jackson's in the Northern Santa Barbara (Goleta) area that I used to occasionally check out when I was in College. A few of the area residents said they've seen them there since the early 90's. I'm suprised to see a pocket of them all the way up in Moro Bay. The temps can get very, very low (for california) in that area during the Winter. I guess goes to show some of the Montaines can take more temp abuse then we think, provided they are acclimated to it, it looks like. Thanks for sharing.
