i bought this plant from home depot yesterday. it is approx 3and a half to four ft. tall just wondering if anybody knows what type of plant this is.. the label only says house plant i bought it because it was on sale:D

Looks a lot like a money tree to me, but I'm no expert with plants.

If so, no it isn't safe.

that is schefflera chloriphblahb blah something
it isn't moneytree, but big ones get these Red type berries or something.

i don't recommend this one if your chams a plant eater.

okay i just got rid of it.. what would be a great main plant in for his cage... im looking for something with a lot of branches that are sturdy enough to hold his weight and has enough foliage so he can drink of the leaves

Decent sized trees seem hard to come by on the plant list, but you can by a large Ficus, or Hibiscus. House plant types like pothos (golden pothos/devils ivy) and shefflera arboricola (umbrella tree) are good.

They seem to seek out more substantial sources of water as the get bigger, such as drips from a dripper etc
You can use a bare branch tree and hang some safe list plants from it too. :)
