Hi. The poo looks fine. I don’t see the urate, but I guess it plopped away. What have you been feeding your cham? Anything like silkworms or hornworms? Those have high moisture levels and can cause runny poos…but the poo looks solid, so…it’s never a bad idea to have a fecal parasite check just to make sure your little beauty is clear and healthy.

Hey, yea the poop part is perfect but the urate is just like a big blob of clear gloop. I have actually just introduces silk worms 3 days ago. So that could very well be it. Thanks for your help

Can you speak to your hydration method? And your ambient humidity day and night? You see these runny egg white urates when a cham is over hydrated. Pretty consistently when someone is fogging. Fecal looks totally normal and well formed. No sign of mucous.

Yea so i mist in the morning about 30 mins after the lights go on and in the evening about 30 mins before the lights go off. Each misting lasts less than 2mins.

He has a water bowl in there but never seen him drinking from it. In fact I have never even seen him drink.

I don't mist directly on him either I always mist well away from him.

Humidity through the day is about 50-60 and through the night 80-90

You can remove the bowl. They do not drink from standing water. Are you hand misting? May I see a picture of the entire enclosure? Are you using analog or digital hydrometers? What species of chameleon is this?

Ahh ok I'll remove the bowl.

He's a veiled/yemen

Yes I am hand misting and using analogue hydrometer.

See picture attached. Let me know if you want any direct images of anyt

Thank you! Ok red bulb would be removed and replaced with a white bulb approximately 60 watt. Red bulbs will damage their eyes.

The analogue hydrometer is very inaccurate. I am betting your levels are sitting higher than it is saying. Daytime Veileds should be 30-50% max for humidity. Temp at basking for a baby as young as yours would be 80.
All of the bark should be removed... They will ingest pieces of this and become impacted. You would go with a bare bottom cage unless you go fully bioactive set up.

You will need to increase cage size pretty quickly. These guys need tall enclosures. 2x2x4ft.

Males will have a small spur on the back of their back feet. If there is no spur and it is smooth then you have a female.

Neptune the Chameleon on youtube is another great resource and accurate as well.

Ask your questions in the forum. This will be a lot of info to learn and making quick changes is very important for the chameleon.
