is this strange

After everything I read I thought my chameleon would hate my hands in her cage. The thing is she actually likes being held and will come to the front of the glass to tell me she wants out. Is this strange or do some chameleons actually like being held. Does it mean anything or is it just her.

Some chameleons do like coming out of their cage. I've had similar experiences with both chameleons I've owned (male veiled and male panther). With some of them, once they realize that you aren't a predator and going on your hands means getting to roam around and explore they will want to come out.

They certainly want out of the cage and if you can facilitate they are all for it. The only time I handle my chameleon is when the weather is good and we can get some sun together. Otherwise I transfer him right to his free range plant.

Nope, not strange at all.
Once you let them out to explore, they will always want out.
All of my guyz beg to be let out as soon as they see me!!

Of course, it helps if you have a fun free range for them to play on
