Is this uvb light alright?

I have always had the reptisun 5.0 for my panther, but mine randomly burnt out (after only four months) and my local petco only had Zilla Tropical Series 25 fluorescent lights(15watt), and I did not want him to go without until the reptisun 5.0 came in. My question is if anyone has had luck with this bulb, if it is safe for him, or if I need to buy the reptisun 5.0 again. Thanks!

i had the same question a while back! and the answer is yes its safe. i got it about 3 months ago. no problems so far.

Your chameleon can go a couple days without uvb, but the zilla will work well enough until your new bulb shows up.

Do you think that the zilla would work for a few months? Or do I need to get the reptisun 5.0. I know it is the highest recommended but since I bought the zilla I was just wondering if it was a decent option?

it will work for a couple months. but next time, (in about 4 months) get the reptiglo or reptisun

I have been told the zillas trop series has a higher uv output. I can go look to see who uses them. They love them And they last longer than the zoomed. Assuming you purchased the 5.0 or equivalent

Ataraxia uses them and greats great reads on them, found the thread :)
