E-juice, even if its legit, is made of propylene glycol(smoke screens, iv drips, skin lotions, can be plant or petrol based) and vegetable glycerin(Palm or coconut oil base) in different ratios for different throat feel. All are 100% safe, in liquid form...
VERY little study is done on second hand vaping, how much is filtered out by the lungs etc.
At worse, i would not have my cham next to my frying pan, due to the smoke, i would say the same for vaping. As long as he is in another room, you will be fine. Its a lot less harmful(if its harmful at all) vs perfume etc. I would be 10x more worried if i had a fireplace in the same room, or just a very dry room in general.
You can read all these scary articles, but they are very very cherry picked to get the authors narrative. If you believed even half of them, you would think the vapers are walking around sucking on lead, aluminum, silica dust, hyper nicotine, and just dropping dead every 6 months.
Any non back alley china knock off e-juice will have food or medical grade(its the only true ways to get them) propylene glycol and vegetable glycerin, nicotine(if its even in there) and an artificial flavor/smell, and almost all of those again, come from concentrates for food grade candy.
I would rate the "risk" as the same as using a non stick pan in the house. You have people thinking it will cause every bird in the house to drop dead 5min after you start cooking, all the way to the other end that think they are even safer than uncoated aluminum pans.
