It's a beast! Annoucing the Triple Dragon Cage

Hi everyone,

I thought some of you might be interested in this. Here's my latest creation, the Triple Dragon Cage. These are going to house some high end breeder bearded dragons.

This photo shows "blackout doors" instead of glass. The glass shop screwed up their end and the client needed to be sure he could contain his new breeders that were due to arrive the next day so I made a set of blackout doors. Needless to say, I'm changing glass shops!

Picture of the inside of the top cage. You can't see the ceramic heatlamp socket nor the 48" fluorescent fixture that's in each unit.

I will post some more photos with the new inhabitants when I get the other two built and installed. I have to change tactics a bit and make them "ready to assemble" since he couldn't fit this one into his bedroom.

This is a loaded question, but would anyone like to guess what a cage like that costs? I need to know how good of a deal I gave him.

Finally got a picture of the thing in use!

The owner reports that the dragons are growing about 10-15% faster in the new cage than they were in the aquariums.

If you could setup something like that for a Chameleon, I'd be all game to buy one. Take the 2 lower sections, place a divider in the middle and setup 2 vertical cages in that section for Cham's. You could split the two top sections down the middle and use those for storage or even a place to keep your baby chams. Screen the whole front off in sections and bam. That would be a really cool Cham setup Just a thought LaserGecko

Actually, Kevin, we've been kicking around a few ideas kind of like that. Something along the lines of Panther 'Partments or Carpet Condos*ugh*, sorry...sort of like a rack system with screen cages, but without the rack. There are several advantages to that, not the least of which is the fact that it's much cheaper to provide one 48" UV-B lamp for three cages than it is to provide three 18" lamps!

LaserGecko, wow that sounds exciting. I can't wait to see what those come out to look like. I like the name too, Capet Condo's, that's totally cool. The setup you have their looks really really good. Something you would definitely find in a professional carpenter's shop. You did a really good job with the layout, color, lighting and overall design. That's something buyers will definitely be able to appreciate for years. Great Job!!!
