Just kidding, it's a little out of context by the way. But really, what would you guys do if that law was approved?

I bet it won't, it goes against freedom of speech. They can't determine what is intended to be annoying or offensive, since it's so objective. One very conservative person may take an educational comment on evolution to be highly offensive, while another may not. I don't know how they could phrase the wording to determine what is trolling and what isn't.

If you could pass something like this it would finally shut up those freaks that go to military funerals with the "thank God for dead soldiers" crap. If that isn't trolling to an extreme, I don't know what else is.

The law was shot down (as stated in the article), so it won't be approved.

In the Uk it's illegal to intentionally cause racial or religious harassment, alarm or distress (a guy recently got sentenced to prison for being racist on twitter....)
In my own opinion this law is pretty silly and difficult to enforce
....freedom of speech is pointless if you don't let people say things that you disagree with, right? :D....fortunately common sense is mostly applied by courts so not everyone is in jail (yet)

P.s. - I don't particularly want to cause anyone any alarm or distress, just think it's an ill-defined idea :)

lol wouldnt that be something, they prob realized would over populate the jails even more then they are.

Gotta love AZ, I do

Haha it's kind of obvious who read and who didn't read the article.
The law wouldn't send trolls to jail per se, it just updates old laws that prevent people from slandering others and extends laws in that spectrum to include online posts and what not.

To answer the original question:

No, no you have not.

Oh snap, that still didn't answer the question ("Wait, what?"), you were just opposing my statement. rofl
