I've raised a princess...

This is my morning:

I'm sitting at the kitchen island working on my laptop and Ferdinand my Jax is wandering around, doing his usual circuit around the house. After about an hour, he wanders into the kitchen and sits about a foot away from me. And just sits. And sits and sits. So I'm like "What?" and reach down.

He climbs up onto my hand, so I start to carry him back to his free range and he starts "pointing". I call it "pointing" like a hound because when I am carrying him somewhere, his head will rotate constantly toward the thing he wants to explore (usually the thing I just made him leave). Ferdie is pointing toward the screen door behind me where the sunshine is coming in.

He totally just interrupted me to make me carry him 15 feet to the sunshine because he was too spoiled to walk over there himself. Now he's happily basking on a vine, looking all smug. I might be anthropomorphizing him a bit, but seriously - what a princess!

You can just see it in his face: "This is mine. And this is mine. And this is mine, too!"

LOL - to cute ! I am glad I am not the only one with a male princess ~ :p some of your stories crack me up :) I just love to hear of his adventures :D

He has just the cutest personality :)

I'm always amazed at how clever and fun he is; I'm really lucky to have him!

Cute!

I don't let Mr.Pink roam around my house because of the cats. He "points" at windows and doors too by staring at them too. I didn't train him, he trained me. :p

Such a cute story and pictures. You should like such a good mommy. :)
It's amazing just how smart chameleons are when we interact with them and give them a chance.

Agreed! I've had skinks, anoles, and geckos in the past, and they were cool, but I never thought any of them had a "personality". Chameleons are so different - quirky and clever!
