Hi guys,

Today i went to homebase looking for some devils Ivy for Oz. None of there planys have the proper names and the staff have NI clue what they are selling. So i picked up these little Ivy plants for 99p that simply said Ivy House Plant. Looking at pictures on google, it just looks like normal Ivy and not Devils Ivy. Will this be ok for My cham? He dies tend to chew plants sometimes. Obviously plant will be re potted as it has thw white balls in it.

Thanks,

Jade x

Not sure about that Ivy, but gut instinct tells me not to use it. I tend to use Schefflera and Hibiscus in my cages. They are much easier to keep than Ficus - who tend to drop all their leaves, lol! I haven't tried Devil's Ivy (Pothos) but have seen the plants in B&Q. They sell them in a hanging pot thing so you can hang it up and let the vines grow downwards. I wouldn't use the normal Ivy for my chams. They only have plants that I know are totally safe if eaten.

Yeah figured as much. Phil can use them for the darts. Oh well, he'll just have to live with his umbrellas for now. He spotted the baby by the way. Saw her when i was making her new viv. Now he sits right at the front of the viv staring trying to see her. He cant cos i dont want him stressin her out, but its like he knows she's there lol. Bless him x

Awww! Tommy's the same. When he's out, if you put him on the floor he struts straight across and stands under the cupboard that Amy's cage sits on! You can see him thinking about how to get up to her, lol! They aren't as daft as they look! Glad the l'il ones are doing ok, Jade!

Hibiscus plants are really nice and they can eat the flowers as well as the leaves. Only trouble is that we can't get them over here until the summer, so a while to wait yet! Never found any in B&Q though - managed to get some in a Thompson's Garden Centre, so if you have one near you it's definately worth trying there in a few months!
