Jackson babies a month old now

They're looking great! How many you got of them?

I hope they will continue to do that well for you :) I've found that's it a hard time raising them. Out of 15 babies I only have a few left at the 5 months old.

I started losing them after a couple of weeks... that's the time they need to get their own nutrition and stuff but I also lost them at 2-3 months old. It might be due to the hot weather here in the Netherlands a couple of months ago.

Somehow the ones I have left are all female:confused:

Even the most experienced keepers have the same issues with Jackson's. All you can do is to provide the best of care and hope they make it past the 3'month mark.
In the past, I have raised multiple clutches of Jackson's at the same time. Some of the clutches, there are no problems and others, some of the bakes will die, even though they were raised under identical conditions.

I had 5 born back in February and within a week I was down to 3 and then I lost all the rest in one week at the three month age, one after the other.

Ginger it is hard reading what has happened to some very knowledgeable keepers but you just stay with it. Those babies are just to cute to lose.

By babies are coming along really well but one does not seem to be eating as well as her siblings are, it is easier to tell since they are now cages separately. Finger are crossed for both of us.:):)
