Jackson not basking?

For the past couple of days, my Male Jackson (Samson) doesn't seem to want to bask? He seems more interested in staying near the bottom of the pen and watching me while I'm at my desk. He eats and drinks, just hasn't gone up to bask in a couple of days, his basking area stays between 75 & 85 degrees.
Should I be worried? I didn't find anything on this so I'm ask'n.

Thanks.

Could you grab a picture of "him" please..

Jacksons don't lay eggs, they give live birth. If it were a female about to give birth it would probably be basking a lot.

To the OP. Jackson's do not bask as much as veiled or panther so he may just not need the extra heat. As long as he is eating, drinking, and defecating normall I wouldn't worry.

Thanks..... I learn

Cheers... my bad.

My Jackson doesn't bask near as much as my panthers. He may go days without basking, then spend most of the day basking. I don't worry much about it. He does love to bask in the sun though. He gets so colorful and flattens out its really cool to see.

My Jackson. Tends to sit at the front of his cage and stare at me while I work until I let him out to free range in the afternoon. If he is eating, drinking, looks healthy and active and is a calm green color I wouldn't worry to much about it.

Jackson's are quite inquisitive chameleons! I got my first boy back in 2011 ans he was just 3 months old when we were putting the Christmas tree up, and he sat at the front of his cage the whole time watching what we were doing! My Veiled girl would never have done that at the same age, she would have hidden away.

How hot is the overall environment. When it gets to hot for my guy he heads straight down until I turn off basking light and crack a window too cool down room he is in.

Keeping to the depths

The top stays between 75 & 85 while the bottom pretty much stays aroud 70. A little less in the middle of the night but I have our home thermistate set for 68. The pen is split down the middle with a screen divider so the Female is in the same environment and basks pretty soon after eating and drinking. Then when she takes a break, she just moves into the shadows but remains high in the pen. They each have a Misting nozzle and they're set to go off 3 times a day, plus I have a humidifier running 24 hours a day. He seems to know what he's doing so I'm not going to worry about it unless it continues awhile. Up until a day or two ago he was basking like the female does.

Thanks again everyone for responding.

Can they see each other through the divider? If so that needs to be fixed as this will stress them out.

If they look hard enough they can but they don't 'seem' stressed about it since they spent so much time together both at the Reptile Store and their first few days with me. However just to be safe I'll recover the divider with non-transparent material. :)

Thanks
