How different is Jackson chameleon care to other chameleon like panther. I heard they need quite high humidity, how is this achieved with a mesh encolsure. Thanks

someone at a reptile expo said they run a fogger all night for their Jackosn. I'm pretty sure they don't need as much supplements either. like mentioned, @elizaann2 might be able to help. How different is Jackson chameleon care to other chameleon like panther. Thanks, whats the basking temp, and is the encolsure size the same as panthers. ThanksSorry just saw a mistake in my typing. My boy is kept at 76-68 degrees during the day. Not 62 that would be a nighttime temp
Basking temp is 80-85 but I never let mine go above 83. I’m actually currently working on lowering mine so I’ve been making adjustments the last few days. The goal is 80 at basking. Jackson’s are a montane species and if too hot they can get heat stress and quickly die. Thanks, whats the basking temp, and is the encolsure size the same as panthers. Thanks
Most reputable breeders won't sell them younger than 4 months. What age do u recommend I buy a Jackson at?
Agreed, don't get anything younger than 4 months old. Ideally you'll want a 6 month old if you can find one. Most reputable breeders won't sell them younger than 4 months.
I wouldn't do it. Keep looking. I'm actually looking for a female Jackson's Xanth myself. If I find a reputable breeder I'll let you know!Well the ones I found will be for sale at 9 weeks old. Probably not a good idea buying so young right?
I live in the UK, not sure where your based lol. The jacksons temp requirements are practically perfect, cause in winter it bes quite cold indoors at night, even during the day. As well as humidity generally being higher as well.I wouldn't do it. Keep looking. I'm actually looking for a female Jackson's Xanth myself. If I find a reputable breeder I'll let you know!
