Jacksons strange behavior

Hi, I have a Jacksons chameleon who is around 1 year old. I feed him 2-3 crickets every other day and give him reptivitmins every week. He has had no health issues so far besides last night. He was in his usual perch spot sleeping then I noticed that he had awoken and started spinning in circles around his perch branch. It looked like he was going to fall off so I placed my hand beneath to ensure his safety as I had never seen this before. When doing so he imediately climbed into my hand. He kept walking around in circles for a few minutes or so before calming down and sitting on my hand. His colors were changing pretty rapidly and I thought he was going to die in my hands. I gave him water and called the vet. They were unable to help so i decided it were best to put him in a safe space and pray hes okay in the morning. When I awoke he was in the same position I had left him in but after checking back in on him 10 minutes later he had climbed all the way up his vine, put his happy colors back on and was sitting in his perch spot as usual. He's okay now and acting as though nothing happened but am still worried as this is abnormal behavior.

Hi. I am afraid I know little about Jackson’s, but your vitamin regimen caught my eye. That is something I do know about. You say you are giving Repti vitamins every week. What is the exact name of what you are giving? Maybe post a pic of it. What about calcium? Are you giving any of that and if so, how often? Jackson’s are more sensitive to vitamins and while we give our panther and veiled a multivitamin and D3 twice a month, Jackson’s should be getting each only once a month. Depending on what you are using, it is very possible/probable that he is getting overdosed with not just all vitamins, but especially the fat soluble D3 and maybe A. What type of uvb light are you using? Is it a screw in bulb or a long tube? If a long tube, do you know what size and strength? It should be written on one end of the bulb. Maybe post some pics of your entire enclosure. I’m tagging @JacksJill who is the Jackson’s expert along with @Sonny13 and @elizaann2

I don’t know what it is, but like said the vitamines could be the cause. I only give my Jackson once a month vitamines, he’s 4 years and seems to work great. Same regime for the parsons, giving her more vitamines and she sits with one eye closed several moments per day.
