Wow I am so proud that our Veiled Luke made the cut!! My hubby joined the forum and entered his photo, and there he is! *proud Momma moment* :p

I think it's time I bust out the camera and enter the contest next month. I've been in the running a couple of times, but I've given up. :(

Today is the last day to vote in the 2012 January photo contest. If you are having a hard time deciding I strongly suggest reviewing the larger version of each entry. The larger size is more revealing of imperfections that can have a lot of influence on overall image quality.

There were many great photos this month and I'd like to thank everyone for participating. There is always room for improvement, so if anyone has a suggestion please create a new thread in the photo contest or feedback forums. If you prefer to remain anonymous you can send me an email or private message.

Medals have been awarded.
Congratulations to the winners :) :D

what do the numbers, 19, 16, etc mean? I think I asked this before but did not get an answer. That cannot mean the number of votes can it? that would mean hardly anyone is voting at all.

 OMG!!!!! My first medal! Thank you SOOOOO much to each and every one of you who voted for my Montysaurus! I am so happy, this means so much! Finally after almost 4 years of entering I get my first medal with a photo of my first Jackson! :D:D

Congrats also to MrCus and showjet95! Well done everyone!! :D:D

Yes, those numbers represent votes. We had 113 people vote in the Juanuary contest.

Regarding the ratio of number owned to total photo contest victories, the genus Kinyongia is incredible.

Funny thing is that they are not very photogenic -- way better looking in real life!
