I own a yemen/veiled cham. He is not yet a year. His vivarium is a hybrid tank with DIY mesh top and plexiglass doors (42"t 20"d 36"w). There are a plethora of plant species (13 sp.).

I see him eat foliage off of everyone! So far so good and no way to stop him.

Although I do not own a jasmine, yet. I know they make several "safe" plant lists I have seen on the web. Being a natural fragrance for thousands of years albeit, I cannot imagine anything is too poisonous to them.

One idea I have is to grow something nutritious (i.e. mustard). So far he eats the sprouts… I have more growing in starters outside the viv now.

Reminder: I also tried sweet-peas! I love the vines and color; perfect for a chameleon set-up, Right?!…..WRONG! I read the foliage is poisonous ad do not question it. Sprouts were removed just in time and seeds were given away. CHAMELEONS come from natural environments and have many natural instincts to eat and "sample" the things around. Since we remove them from their natural environment, it is our obligation to provide a safe environment in place.

Humidity: Try placing a large sponge (car wash style?) in a dark place in the setup. Basking lights we desiccate anything without a protective membrane (like skin). I bought a cheap humidifier for an office or baby's room and connected to the tank. Its on a timer and brings the humidity up to 99% 3x a day. Also drips water at hose end.

ONCE AGAIN: I have a veiled/yemem cham. Have you have looked at Asir Province?!? Its a desert compared the island of Madagascar. So know your SPECIES and their SPECIFIC needs.

Hope that helped. Good Q's
