Jewels New cage and YES it needs a plant

I'm so happy you got Jewel a screen cage
In my cage , I have a hibiscus (which im swapping for a ficus) and two schefflera, one of them is big and the other is small. They are probably my favorite plants, they hold water droplets nicely. You should build stands for your plants , to give different heights and all around coverage.

So glad someone likes it might take me a few to get the bigger lights and a good main plant ! Temp. is at 80 holding strong but hum. is at 60.

How are you measuring temps ? I would use a digital gun to get a constant read. Also 60 humidity, is that after you mist? Or is that all day, veiled can stand low humidity levels than most other species . I would say 50 humidity is good and a spike of 70 or a little higher is alright

Oh thank god so I don't feel bad about the Hum. now. The temp stays 80 all day. A simple temp and hum. in the middle of the cage for now. Sorry not a great at spelling? On a GREAT NOTE she is eating her kale and worms just now!!

If you're deciding what kind of plant to get, I highly recommend getting a Pothos vine. They are near impossible to kill (which is good if you're like me, because I'm terrible at taking care of houseplants ) and don't need much light like some other tropical plants. If you are looking for a more tree-like plant, you could get a pot of dirt and stick a manzanita branch or something upright in it so it's shaped like a tree, and then plant your pothos in the pot and place the vine "arms" so that they grow up the "tree". But if you're good with houseplants and have nice, bright lighting just get a schefflera arboricola.

Watch out with that temp gauge, those ones with the hands on them that read 80 constantly are normally broken!!! What brand is the gauge?
As ChiefRedman said, if you get a digital gun you'll get a much better constant read and it's much easier to see the difference in temp throughout the whole cage rather than ust one spot.
I just got one from Cheerman that's working really well for me. Another one from another brand is in the mail so I can cross check...
