Jimmy looking great in his outdoor enclosure

Jimmy looks like he could be my Rango's twin.

Only difference is Rango has a broken series of dashes down his side rather than the solid line. He is also 8 months old.

Is he an Ambanja? I'm basing that comment on what Rango is SUPPOSED to be

Thanks for your response aboht the aviary. I have been looking on line and they all seem to have much wider spacing on the bars. Your exact unit just seems perfect. Can you dig up the brand info?

Unfortunately, there is no brand. It was designed and completely customized by my father and then produced through a welding company. Then it was sent to be powder coated.

Thats awesome. way to get it done. just to be clear why i am asking so many questions -- i am just about to rebuild my entire system using my super cheapo diy approach. your pics got me thinking it is time to invest in some higher quality stuff..

so i sourced out a local aviary place but im wondering -- is it cheaper to go straight to a welder and if so what is a reasonable price?

Thanks!

Well this set up all and all costed about a grand when finished, but keep in mind this is only the catch cage for a much larger bird aviary that goes with it. You get what you pay for, I think quality goes a long way in the end. We've had the cages for almost 10 years now and they've always been left outside and they're still in great shape. It really depends on what you find available and if you're willing to pay the price, customizing a cage, however, ensures that you get exactly what you want to fit your needs and you know the quality that goes into it. I'd find some cages that seemed reasonable and talk to a welder and get a rough estimate and go from there.

Amazing and that outdoor setup is just uh words do not describe! You have some very lucky chameleons! Sucks to live in Wisconsin right now, although with the temps we've been having...

Thanks! Yeah it's been really nice this summer although it's starting to get a little too hot here in LA.
