Jungle Dawn Led Bar

So how bright are these guys? Can they replace a t5 bulb? I'm stuck between ordering 2 22" single bulb t5 fixtures, one with a acadia 6% and one with a 6500k bulb or replace the 6500k setup for a 21" led bar.

Hi txg8gxp.
The Jungle Dawn™ HO (Higher Out-put) bars are 357 (x 10) Lux taken at 10 inches.... pretty bright.
And the 44" Bar is approx. over 2000 Lumen.
Uisng only 34 Watts.
Brighter than a regular flo. tube...
but it is hard to compare lumen to that of a flo. tube because all the light points "down" coming from the more efficient Jungle dawn™ LED bar.

As opposed to going 360 degrees and wasting a portion of the light that is being produced.

Here are a few recent pics from some dart frog folks who are the HO Jungle Dawns™ on their planted vivariums.

The rack picture is very bright & has 2 bars per shelf.

The pic of the single tank is being lit with one bar over it.

Maybe a few Cham forum folks using them will post a pic. ?

For Herps, ANY LED light product must be used in conjunction w/ a UVB tube / light source(Arcadia or similar)* for providing Vit D synthesis.*

The Reg out-put bars not as bright - but still very nice and give a cool overall light.
Like Forest light levels.



* No matter what claims are made by ANYONE, there currently are NO LED products available for herps that can provide the correct wavelengths of UV for Vit D syntheses.

I know, I know...before anyone wants to go off on it....
I am well aware ...
There ARE diodes that can produce 295 - 300 nm UV light.
But the trick is to make them in a product that can deliver the proper wavelengths correctly in the right proportions with visible light. And that is not something that has been perfected yet in any product. It may be a ways off.
