just a curious question

ive read about giving your chams showers, but would it be fine to let the cham chill out in the bathroom while you get your own shower? as wierd as it is, we have a fake tree in our bathroom which would be perfect, and it gets nice and steamy in there, AND theres a window for sunlight, does anyone think he'd mind and possibly enjoy his "bathroom" time?

Yes! I would.. I would make sure to close up all sink/toilet holes of course, but he would probably enjoy that! Mine always gets a little crazy during shower time and wants to crawl up the shower curtain and always makes me really nervous!

As long as he could not crawl into dangerous places, then go for it.

Ive even showered my cham while I showered as well, (my shower is the lenth of a fullsize tub)

2 birds, 1 stone.
As long as you are careful, go for it.

Just a quik question so I don't have to make another thread, when you give the Cham a shower the water should be what temp and also I heard it stresses them out and you should only do it if it's really needed.

Opinions on that?

Ps: I don't mean to steal your thread just don't Wana clog on the forums with the same questions

The water should be warm, but not hot. I normlaly make the water a bit warmer when it comes ou tof the shower head, so that when it bounces off the wall its warm, but not hot, like a warm mist.

It can stress them out yes, however, some like it, some learn to enjoy it.
It varies cham to cham.

I give my cham a shower every other week.
I do it about once a day when hes shedding.

i have a home made devise i use that i clamp onto the shower head, the water hit it and turns to a scaterd mist, works better than off the wall for me. might help you out.
it is basically a light fixture clamp with a large 6inch holed straning spoon attached, i clamp it to the shower head pipe that comes out of the wall and put the spoon in the path of the water and it bounces off in all directions, ( kinda like if you hold your hand up and disrurb the water flow.
i hope that makes some sence.

dont worry about it :) knowing as much information as possible is awesome :)

I just do this. Mine don't bounce off the walls either:

And yes, taking your cham into the bathroom is good, the extra humidity is good.
