And look what followed me home:) . Her name is gracie she is a T. Weidersheimi. She is in a well planted 10 gallon tank until her terrarium arrives in a couple of days. I was happy to see her drinking as soon as she was put into the tank.

There was a beautiful male there but he was unresponsive and his eyes were shut. sadly he probably wont last the day. But I am very happy with this little lady.

Nice cham, but she doesnt seem to be in the best condition either...she looks quite dehydrated and maybe underweight aswell...might want to do something about that...dont pump her with too much food though...
And make sure she drinks a lot...

Nice, wish there was such a thing in South Africa as a reptile expo, I would be lucky to find someone at the local pet store who knows what a chameleon eats... I teach them, haha

Hey Pieter...I am from South Africa, there are 3 main reptile expos each year in Johannesburg though they are a bit dissapointing when it comes to chameleon supply. Though sometimes you will be surprised with there being something nice...

I breed chameleons along with a few others here in S.A

I am sure they were in the same cage together. Whatever the male has, she has picked up from him. Even if they weren't housed together at the show, they most likely were wherever the vendor was keeping them.
Bottom line is,take her to the vet asap and good luck.

Wow:eek: thats insane! I've searched no actually scoured the web searching for Chams in sa and was only able to find a very limited range of info and one supplier of reptile accessories... here you are... a breeder, haha

Thanks for the response I'm new to the forum and I am going to try and save you or add you somehow for future reference

All good, PM sent ;)

Cosmic, Chuck is probably right about the female...Make sure she doesnt come into any contact with your other chameleons...if she has anything it can be spread easily...so wash your hands between handling them, feeding them or touching there enclosures...

What table did you get her at? I was there today from 11:30 to about 2:30. I got my new veiled from the sunshine dragon table surprisingly. Today there were some chameleons if you looked properly, but a lot of them were housed together ( i'm assuming for space issues?). The nicest ones were not for sale though...
