I wouldn't recommend that as it is an evaporation style humidifier too much air flow for Cham's I think. Also the claim it's quieter is a lie from personal experience.

I got it for great price, can use it for other stuff, so it's still a score to me. I'm sure ill come across an untrasonic again in near future

You must live in a more arid environment I'm guessing if they're hard to come across, don't have much variety of them here.

I live in southwestern Ontario. I can pretty much get anything around here, I just hate paying full price for things unless I have to (bulbs & such things..). Im sure you get where I'm coming from, lol. Just have to know where to look and you can find brand new stuff, for a great deal. Bought my $130 T5 h0 fixture (48" X 4 BULBS) for $25, lol
