*male panther chameleon 7-8 months old not sure what breed coz i got told 2 different things.
*depending on what i am doing through out the day i either get him out everyday or every other day.
*i gut load all of my feeders, he has loctus (3-4)and crickets (2) and meal worm (4) daily.
*he weights 80g roughly.
*i have a dripper thats on low all day and i mist about 4-5 times a day.

*he has a wooden viv but the front and one side are mesh.
*it measures 23 inch wide, 36 inch length, 19 inch depth.
*basking area is 85-95, cooling area is 65-72.
*i have live and plastic plants LIVE fiscus x2 large and small, 1 umbrella plant .
*the viv is in a corner out of the way of traffic it is by a window but i never open it unless it is really hot and i see his temperatures abit higher than normal.

What i am concerned about is for the last few days i have noticed a little change in liam. he seems to be just layin about and tail curled up like he is ready for bed and stayin low to his branches, he does have a quick climb around. he looks healthy but i am worried

What do you gutload with specifically and do you use any supplements? If so which ones and how often for each?

Yes, you don't mention supplements! These are required for overall health and without them he will die a long painful death. Also, for a young guy such as Liam, I would feed him as much as he can eat in a 5 minute timeframe and try to keep away from mealworms as they are not good for chams as a daily feeder. Otherwise on the surface of your description I can't really find error with your setup and Liam looks pretty healthy. He may just be having a couple off days. Keep a very close eye on him and in the meantime let us know what supplements you are providing!

Hi there

Yes we would definitely need the information on what supplements! I have made that mistake once and never again with my baby Karma! I did not feed him any multivitamin or calcium d3 at all because I was never told to and regret it very much. It felt like I was dying with him, he was 4-5 months old when he passed away due to metabolic bone disease (MBD) ... rest in peace buddy. I am dusting my crickets with Multivitamin once every two weeks and Calcium d-3 everyday and WOW what a different Chameleon I have just because of that! It kills me to think I was just slowly killing Karma ever since I got him... never again... use supplements!

Oh sorry i feed them carrots, cabbage, parsnips, swede, cucumber, celery i dont dust their food i actally dust them wen i put them in to fed him with calcium daily and calcium d3 once a month coz that wat i got told...thanks for being honest guys i dont want to kill him :(
his uv lightin its a 5% uvb D3 Arcadia, his feet and legs are fine they dont seem swollen, he has a good grip wen he comes out!
have had him 3-4 months he has been fine really happy

he seems to be layin under his basking light alot today his temp is 85-90...this is him today i am worried :(

I haven't seen or heard any numbers on his humidity. What does his cage stay at? Do you see him drink? What does his poop look like?

what brand of supplements are you using?

he looks okay. Maybe slightly thin.

If its only been a couple days, and he is still moving around just perhaps not so much as before, could it be that he is about to shed?

I'd recommend a couple changes/additions to your gutloading. for sure I'd drop the cabbage, and limit the parsnips. what is swede? I'd consider adding spirulina, a dark leafy green (dandelion, a little romaine or kale or arugula/rocket), perhaps some butternut squash, some occassional seeds/nuts and/or brewers yeast.

He looks good to me. Maybe he is just getting older. My panther was very active as a youth and is now almost two. He has slowed down in terms of climbing all over the cage. He still has a morning walk around the cage, moves to the bottom branches then back up to the misting head and light. If they are used to their environment they should naturally mellow out a bit with age.
