Just picked up my about 3-4 month old veiled yesterday. I was told it was a male but after reading a few articles I'm not so sure. It has such a wonderful personality I will be happy with either....although I was set on a male. Please give me your opinion before I name him/her!

I've added another picture. Is the age pretty close at 3-4 months also?

I believe I see spurs (bumps) on the heel of his back legs. I agree it's a male. Just to be sure, can you provide a focused picture of his hind legs?

See I keep going back and forth. I think male but leaning more towards female. Is the nub viewable this young or should I wait before deciding on the sex?

Welcome to the forums and congrats on your little cutie.

The nub (bump) is viewable at hatch. I'm on my phone but will take a closer look at your photos when I get to a computer.

I have a blog for new keepers attached below to help you get off to a good start with your new chameleon.

Okay, one more photo where I think I've caught the infamous nub that seems to be eluding me in my photos!!!! What do you think? Boy??? Don't know if the crazy color changes help but when he/she is out walking into different lit rooms triggers instant color changing. Spots/stripes start appearing dark green.
