Diet...

I have been feeding him 5 crickets in the morning and 5 at night I dust them with a vitamin without D in it everyday I also feed him Wax Worms and Super worms this Stool would have Super Worm's in it.

In the future I plan on using cricket crack along with a veggie mix to gut load the crickets. Currently I have been using a calcium fortified gel to keep them hydrated along with some celery until I stabilize the cricket house which I built two days ago and seems to be working much better only two have died since then.

I dont see a purpose to feed him in the night as the sleep just like us. If crickets are left in there, during the night the can bother them...

We shouldn't be seeing superworms in his stool at all, actually. If you feed him in the morning and maybe noon/early afternoon, he will have time under his lights to digest everything properly and completely. If you're feeding him close to lights-out time, then he's not getting that chance.

I think celery isn't the most nutriciously valuable veggie in the world, so switch that to some dark greens as soon as you can. And go easy on the wax worms, because they're like fatty bacon rolls to them! :)

He looks good though, very cute!

Thanks a bunch I am planning on collecting some dandelion leafs tonight and mixing them with collard greens and a couple of other things in the food processor as a wet gutload for the crickets. I should have the Cricket Crack sometime next week and will add that as a dry feed.

Thanks for the advice on feeding times! I do feed him an hour before lights out so will try to change this to afternoons the tought part is getting my son or wife to do it since I don't get home until around 6 PM :)

ah, I see you are from Oak Park, ILL. I used to live in South Holland. Live in Florida now. Your cham looks good.

you should only give wax worms as a treat like 1 a week or you will end up with a overweight unhealthy cham..

Yeah I'd just ditch the wax worms altogether except maybe once every few months. If you want to feed worms buy silks or buy hornworms. Both are full of fluid and help keep chams hydrated and both are much better nutritionally. Otherwise I like your setup. If the wife isnt into the cham. Try feeding him a few in the morning that he can hunt and make him a feeder cup for the worms and feed him a few worms that he can shoot at his leisure thru out the day. Oh & crick crack is the bomb, I wouldnt go without it. Ive been using it since the beginning of the year and my cricks are much healthier and I have fewer die off.

Agreed on limiting the wax worms (forgot to tell you that in my e-mail to you). As for supers, make sure they are size appropriate. You wouldn't want them too big for your little man. Make sure you are also using calcium w/D3 at least 2x per month and Herpvite 1x per month, along with your calcium w/o D3.

Definitely ditch the celery and go with greens (collard, mustard, dandelion, etc.) and other veggies. Melon rhind and other citrus fruits also work well, too.

Also, the poo looks fine (white vs. yellow urate) but to get the total okay on it, you would need to do a fecal.
