Hello all,
I have a 4 month old panther currently in a 16x16x36 enclosure with an umbrella plant, pothos, and multiple fake vines. I'm using a T5HO Arcadia 6% bulb and a 6500k light for the plants. Being i live in FL and our temps are starting to go up, the room in which i keep my chams avg. temp is approx 77-80 degrees. When the lights mentioned above are on, the basking area and higher areas of the cage now go up to the mid 80's. I was previously using a 40W light for the basking area. Am i correct in assuming that with the current room ambient temps and the extra few degrees added by the UV bulbs that i don't need the "basking light" on during these conditions? Sorry if it's a stupid question, i just wanted to double check. PS i usually keep the basking temp 80-85 degrees.
Thanks
