juvenile coloring

this question is mainly directed to @jannb since I've seen the awesome turquoise in her chams, but anybody else with experience would be helpful too.
my chams still pretty young, about 3 months. hasn't shown a lot of his coloring or patterns short of different shades of green, which I know is pretty normal. but lately I've noticed the wrinkles in his dulap have been a really vibrant blue. I'd love to see him be a more turquoise color like Amos or some of her others. do you think this is a sign he may be headed in that direction, or is it still too early to tell?

He may very well have some blue. Where did you get him? Did you see the parents? Also, keep in mind that each chameleon developed at their on pace. I’m also a firm believer they a healthy, happy chameleon shows the best colors. I feed a variety of well gutloaded feeders. Not only do I use greens and veggies to gutload with, I also use a really good dry gutload. I rotate between Cricket Crack and Bug Buffet. My chameleons also free range and only kept in cages when they go outside a few hours a day for some natural UV. I do totally understand that not everyone can free range, if they have other pets, small children and so forth but most chameleons do not like being cages so some out of the cage time when you can closely supervise is recommended.

BTW Amos was brown at 5 months old.

I got him from an exotics pet shop, though the owner is a professional cham breeder that then decided to expand into his own shop. so they were in very good living conditions when I went there, besides a lot of foot traffic in front of cages. but no, never thought to ask about the parents.
yeah I do a variety of safe gut loads, trying to take your advice on variety of feeders, but hes not taking to the super worms very well. going to try some dubia next. and I try to get him some outside time a couple times a week (weather permitting). dont expect the changes to be immediate. its just a weird feeling. most the time you want your kids, or puppies or whatever it is, to stay small forever. and he is cute as is, i just cant wait to see what he looks like grown up.
