with all due respect.. i think Brian Frey re-wrote what we already know for a nice big paycheck. i do not agree with everything N.Geo puts out, i do not agree with everything BBC puts out either. But after decades upon decades of study, some scientist wants to keep info the same, but switch up" blood poisoning' for "venom", is nothing more than a very expensive rewrite for the books.
venom is also costly and not affordable to make fluently, before it is "injected" into the blood. seen widely in snakes, scorpions and spiders.
unless you can show me the actual venom glands in the teeth or head of komodo, its only logical that the mouth is only a ses-pool of disease and bacteria, also. there could easily have been a anti-venom for bites available since study and theory have been pretty solid for the last long while, but there isnt.
