Keeping a small ammount of crickets clean!

Hi guys, so recently I had a mold issue with my crickets.
Personally I already think crickets are freaking nasty, but I keep them for my beardie and cham. I feed a variety to my reptiles, butter worms, horn worms, silkworms, and crickets, so under 100 crickets can last me a few weeks.

I keep my crickets in a small 2-3L tuber wear, and I thought of doing this: instead of keeping the lid on, with tiny holes poked in them, I've taken some shelf liner, and secured it around the top with a rubber band!
Ta Da! no moisture issues! ( ok I understand someone out there is going to be like "duh" but it's taken me a while to get here lol)
I then put the whole thing inside a shoe box, since the rubber band isn't completely sealing the container, the shoe box will keep any hoppers that escape.
Tidy and small.
I've seen some awesome setup's with giant storage containers, but I'm just not into keeping that many. Hope this will help someone!

They will escape, and you are going ot have them eating through that shelf liner in a matter of days.

you can do the same thing with aluminum mesh, which they cant eat through.

they can also climb cardboard, and eat through it, and shoe boxes dont seal, so they can get out.

well it's been working for the past week.
Although I didn't think of them actually eating the liner!
I have lots of food in there for them, hopefully it will keep them occupied till I get something different. Thanks for the heads up

You might want to try cut out a large widow in the original lid and then glue in a piece of aluminum screen.
