Keeping humidity up

I live in southern California and the air is very dry. The humidity in my screen enclosure is naturally between 35 and 50%. After I mist the humidity goes up to 60 or 70% for 5-10 minutes but then drops back down. What can I do to stabilize the humidity at a higher percentage?

I have two good size plants in the enclosure too (pothos, schefflera)

I live in Northern California and I have a similar problem although when I got my mist king a few months back it seemed to help in keeping the humidity up with more frequent misting of longer duration
