Are you using a digital hygrometer? The analog ones are not reliable. In a glass viv the humidity should be high if your misting 3 times a day. how long are you misting for?

I would suggest moving him to a screen cage as soon as possible. Not sure what plant you currently have but pothos plant is a very good one to add to enclosure to help keep humidity up and the three mistings a day is good but you might have to adjust the length of them and like cricketKilla said get a digital hygrometer if you already don't own one, it's a good investment especially when it comes to checking humidity temps.

no we only have a analog one

maybe not misting long enough ?

would wiping it off the floor be a bad idea should we let it sit for a bit?

he a veiled 3-4 months old

glass viv as stupid pet shop con us I guest

we are hoping to keep him in there for a couple of months once bigger will be making him a screened viv

just cant affort the build yet as his setup now wasnt cheap but everything seem to be wrong

which has angered us greatly

I would raise hell and get your money back. He needs a screen enclosure ASAP to avoid upper respiratory infections, which they get easily. They sell cheap reptibreeze on amazon.com or even a apogee reptarium would work and they're reasonably priced as well. Sorry you got conned.. Most pet stores have no idea about chameleons and are the cause of a lot of premature deaths.
