Keeping live plants alive

I just recently purchased a 24'' t8 tube from Lowes. It's a fresh and salt water aquarium tube. 950 lumens and 18 watts. Do you think this tube will work to keep my plants alive? Thanks for the help.

Thanks for the reply.

I also bought this schefflera from Lowes today, and I'm wondering if it is the right one or not.

I have the same plant in two cages just washed well and replanted in organic soil with rocks on top of the soil.

i have the same plant too im also putting a English ivy in there to grow up my fake vines(gonna be awesome) i think im going to need a new lighting set up i have a 18" 5.0 reptiglo and a 60w sun- glo heat bulb. today i had the idea of standing a 24" 6,700k t5 blub on its side to hit the whole plant bc the 5.0 reptiglo appears to only reach about 12" down my 36" cage any thoughts?

Schefflera's are toxic if eaten. Like so many other houseplants, it is included in the list of poisonous houseplants...Is this just for humans?

In large quantities they are, so if your cham isn't a big cow he/she should be fine. I like the Umbrella plant the most because it looks more topical and the leaves hold water droplets well.
