King might be sick.....

Hey so King (My Jacksons Chameleon) has been acting funny. His colors are normally green, but now they are brown and dark brown. I was just feeding him and I noticed that he wasn't going for the crickets. That is when I got REALLY nervous. I really need help. I can get pictures, but the thing is that I have exams so I really need to be focusing on that and I can't have this as a distraction. (GREAT TIMING!!!!)

Has anything around his cage changed? Sounds like stress coloration. How old is he? Has the humidity or temp changed recently? Is he drinking? Basking? Chams commonly get bored with one feeder. If you've been feeding him every day try every other day and try different feeders. Try flies. They love hunting them.

I don't really know how old he is he hasn't grown much so I think he might be like 3 or 4 I've had him for a year. I just got home and found him on the floor of his cage. He completely changed cages in like late December I think on Christmas. I turned up his mister for every 3 hrs and his basking is at 75.6. He is a male since of his horns so he isn't laying eggs. I'm thinking it is a parasite and I would be terrified if it is since I don't think he would survive... There are nats all around his cage and room, but I'm working on that to clean up since it's really annoying. I have also been feeding him every other day

I have I just kinda hand drank him... I put the spray bottle in front of him and made a little come out and he went for it and he just drank a lot of water. It was right next to his feeder cup with about 10 crickets in it so he still isn't eating.

Check his poo. That should help you with your eval. If you go to a vet, take some, to get things going quicker. I have a jackson and he hunger strikes, a lot. He does not like basking and the only time he does it, he likes his water running over his head. You know, bright basking light and his dripper giving him a shower. If he basks w/o the dripper, he hangs his mouth open

He is hydrated. All of his poop is white and brownish blackish. My dad is getting mealworms tonight so I will make a post if he eats them or not.

King has been drinking and staying up in his tree, but still not eating. King is still brown, but still isn't eating. I can't take him tot he vet tomorrow since my mom has to go to my sisters concert and take my brother to a friend's house. King will be seeing the vet on Friday. The vet is

Thanks that is where Im going I was just misting him and he was opening his mouth a little so I think he was drining. Do you think he has a parasite?

Parasites are often found in chameleons due to the feeders that they eat. Be sure to take some fresh poop for a fecal. If he poops tomorrow put it in a zip lock in the frig....just incase there's not poop on Friday before the vets.

Ok I will keep a good lookout. I cant be looking at him like I normally do :3 Since I have exams and I need to study. I didnt fully understand that if King dosent poop on Thursday or Friday. If he dosent poop then what should I do?

I can probably examine by myself I could ask my science teacher to borrow a microscope if needed, but I dont know if I can trust my 13 year old self. lol.
