Well, I just probed this as a female and as I'm very female heavy I don't have room for her in my breeding colony. I figured I'd offer her here first. She's still young and should be ready to breed in the next few years. An absolute sweetheart, she would make a great pet. I let her play with all the neighborhood kids, dogs, cats, etc and she's super gentle. She weighs about 140 pounds and still has some growing to do. Asking $200 or best offer and can ship through UPS for $50. Here's a pic of us from last week....

I'm not interested in buying her, because I don't have the space and knowledge to keep her. I am interested in how you are able to keep such a giant lizard. She is pretty cool looking though. Is she in an indoor glass vivarium? Maybe someday, when I have my mini-zoo. Also wouldn't she be considered a "hot" animal because her saliva is toxic. Is the komodo dragon one of the 2 venomous lizards? I know the gila monster is one of them. Sorry to take this thread off topic with a lot of questions.

I forgot to mention I bottle-fed this one from a baby, hence the $200 price tag and how tame she is. And sorry, the enclosure has to stay here.

I actually heard you should use compact reptisun uvb bulbs for komodos.

and julirs to answer your question, a fire hose is appropriate. Spray 3 times a day for about 5 minutes.
