laying bin sand?

ok so ive heard a few ppl say just used washed play sand... where exactly do u find this? and why dont u use sand for reptiles like calci sand? maybe just more expensive? not really sure but i have a bearded dragon so i already have that kind of sand so can i just use that? other question is the sand is pink haha will that bother her?
 
You can get the play sand at Lowes or Home Depot...I'm sure the calci sand would be ok...just kinda expensive!!!

Not really, all the sand they sell at pet stores seems crappy. You can just go to somewhere like Lowe's and buy a 50lb bag of fine play sand that's about $3. Waaaaay cheaper and way nicer sand than at pet stores. It's like powdered sugar if you get the really fine kind.
 
you can also used regular potting soil from home depot. I have used potting soil multiple times and i never had a problem. I think its easier to keep moist than sand. I just buy the $4 bag from home depot.

Also true. Just try to find the top-soil kind. Other types have preservatives or perlite in it and it's best to avoid those if you have the choice. The top-soil is as close as it gets, apparently, to not having anything in it.

There is organic choice soil too... it's mixed with a bit of peatmoss for the moisture holding abilities
