Ive heard people suggest things much bigger usually like a five gallon buck filled with 12-15 inches of playsand or something deep enough for something the size of your cham at least

ahaha ... at first I thought she was doing a one-armed pushup
I've got a 12" across/deep pot for Chamille even though she's not showing any colors

No that's not nearly big enough. Minimum 8-10 inches deep. Like the above poster said, I have a 5 gallon bucket

I have a question do the females eat the sand when their laying? Is it safe substrate for them to lay eggs in? Also can i use coco fiber for substrate? Im just worried my cham will eat the sand or coco fiber

I u
Have always use a playsand produced by Kings that comes in a white bad with red, yellow and blue sand box toys on it. If the chameleon doesmingest it it passes through her.
