Laying bin??

Hi we've had cammi since Xmas I think she was 6months old when we got her. Everything has been fine. But I've noticed the last few days she's been going to the base of her vivarium quite a bit. & she's not eaten the last 2days. Could she be looking for somewhere to lay in?? She's never laid before

What species is Cammi? Most species lay eggs. She may very well have eggs to lay and if not provided the proper laying bin she will become egg bound and die. Here's a could blogs for you about egg laying and how to make a laying bin.

Hi put a bin in there about 2 hours ago, just had a peek & looks like she's digging a hole I didn't get to close. I'll give her some time to herself

Just had another look. She's dug a deep hole & shes right in there so fingers crossed, once she's out does that mean she's finished??

She will cover her hole and pack down the sand/dirt and then return to her branch. She will be very thirsty and very hungry. Give her an extra long mist and then food dusted in a little extra calcium without D3. Its inportant that she eats. If she's not hungry then there might be a problem. Keep us posted.

That will be fine. Sometimes they work through the night or sleep in the hole and finish the next morning. Be sure to give her privacy and DO NOT let her see you peeking.

I do but sometimes I leave a small lamp on in the room but that's probably not really necessary.

Yes, it is very hard on your nerves. When butt down they are normally laying the eggs,

Just looked in at her hole covered back over. She was back at the top of her vivarium so took the bin out & gave her a big listing " she shock her head to get the water of it which she's never done before lol " had a dig & found 25 eggs thanks for help guys
