Laying Eggs!!!

My 1 year old veiled is laying eggs for the first time. She is digging to the bottom of her sand pit right now, and is clearly preparing to lay. Should I leave her lights on tonight? Or should I keep her on her regular 12 hour schedule? Any advice helps since I've never done this before. Thanks!

Everyone told me to leave them on a 12 hour cycle still and that she will probably sleep in the hole and finish in the am after she lays mist get really good and fill up dripper if you have one and feed heavy dusted bugs.mine usually starts in the am and finishes in the afternoon. But I'm sure others will have some advice also

Thank you! And how long should I give her to lay before I get worried? Should I still be misting or would that disturb her?

Should I be misting her during the process or will that disturb her? I don't want her to abandon the bin. She really doesn't like being misted at all and I'm worried about her getting these eggs out

I suggest not misting her, because it will disturb her and she may abandon it. I made this mistake a couple months ago. Definitely cover the cage so she can't see you.

I'm not an expert, but I believe it doesn't take too long I'm pretty sure once they turn around and deposit the eggs so you could turn it off soon when she's done.
