Leaving BSFL in cage?

could a few of these be left in my cham's cage to turn into flies so hecan just eat them as they come? Was thinking i'd drop some in the plant potters.

My guys all go nuts for the flies! I've left them to pupate in the retf viv, and my frog had a blast chasing flies.

I do this continuously actually. Not with BSF, but with house flies and blue bottle flies. I get them in and sprinkle the pupae around the base of my plants. I like knowing that food is hatching and available for them even if I forget. So I recommend you do it for sure.
