Yes, but what wavelength UVB would those LEDs be providing? The 460-660nm? There is a pretty specific wavelength that is necessary, 270-300nm. Unless they've recently come out with new diodes capable of producing those wavelengths, the UVB wouldn't be ideal.I've practically been in the process of making one of these , the technology is already there just no one has taken the time to do bit right lol actually would be 40-50$ bulb , or round 100-150 or less for a custom build, uva and uvb chips are available, 2-4 each of those, 4-6 each of 3500-6500k , 2 each of 460nm and 660nm and 6-10, 1000nm + infrared chips for spot heating... wppould be about 30watts for a con style bulb, maybe around 40-75watts for a custom build...any thought would love to hear

not worried about money lol id rather sell the idea and make a better one i only need about 1-2500$ for a set of prototypes and they would obxviously haxve to pass certain specifications but those lights would work, again the technology is there but someone needs to take the first step, i haxve i just need a funder now, but thanksVery good ,once u finish testing ur invention, please come back and persuade me,hopefully it will all work out for you,,,,just dont forget in the real "shark tank" air on ABC ,they do take"2 percent royalty" or "5% equity stake" idea can be great if u able to persuade the public to bite into it,but marketing strategy is the final steps that make your invention to become a entrepreneur's paradise, good luck to you@animalfuture
Im not worry at all, cause I rather go to the Daytona beach to get some real Uvb Sunlight and party with the college crowd, you can always invent some UVB Jedi's lightsaber sword if the plan doesn't work out the way u likenot worried about money lol id rather sell the idea and make a better one i only need about 1-2500$ for a set of prototypes and they would obxviously haxve to pass certain specifications but those lights would work, again the technology is there but someone needs to take the first step, i haxve i just need a funder now, but thanks
I found him talking in the year of 2012 so I ask him to join the Shark tank version of the ABC,and u know its still in a blue print not yet for the patent pending on his idea so keep using what u have.where were you on Sat!!!

I never say he is BSing,I like the idea, but It needs to be more solid n pass the test thats why I hinted him to get a patent pending then work on the marketing strategy, why dont u help him since u found the info also, and both of you guys can try to persuade the General public.Yeah well he's not BSing us http://www.intl-lighttech.com/products/light-sources/leds/uv-leds
I'd buy one but have no idea what to do to make one Thats why I suggested he talk to Todd at LYR. LYR has no products like this Imagine if this was combined with a Jungledawn Mega!I never say he is BSing,I like the idea, but It needs to be more solid n pass the test thats why I hinted him to get a patent pending then work on the marketing strategy, why dont u help him since u found the info also, and both of you guys can try to persuade the General public.
Im sure they already saw this post or later....I'd buy one but have no idea what to do to make one Thats why I suggested he talk to Todd at LYR. LYR has no products like this Imagine if this was combined with a Jungledawn Mega!
I didn't see a UVB diode on that page, only UVC and UVA. UVC was the type of wavelength that burned, blinded and killed reptiles when there was problems with the CFL UVB bulbs a little while back. Maybe the right frequency can be sourced, but without proper quality control, it could be problematic.Yeah well he's not BSing us http://www.intl-lighttech.com/products/light-sources/leds/uv-leds
