Lennon and his cage.

After talking to @GoodKarma19 in her enclosure thread I realized I haven’t posted any pictures of Lennon or his cage in a long time. His cage has been somewhat of a chameleon itself with the evolution of changes it has gone through over the past 2 years but I think I finally got it setup properly other then regular maintenance. I would like to turn it into a bioactive but that will be tackled in the future. I’m also going to have to rework my drainage system to get Cynthia’s new cage in there.

Thanks. Ya I love how his Ambanja blues really come out along his spine and lateral bar when he’s out side. He’s an Ambilobe blue bar crossed with Ambanja.

Ya he’s a big boy. Haven’t weighed him Recenetly but he’s well over 200g. I’ll weigh him 2morrow his lights are off now

Looks like you have done a good job, but I don't think the enclosure has adequate foliage. I think you need a central tree, like a ficus. Chameleons like a dense environment to hide, I do not see that here. A Pothos combined with a nice tree/plant will be awesome. Most times I have to really search to find my Cham.

I totally get what you mean but at this point there is no room in there for a tree with all the vines in the way I wouldn’t be able to put one in. Most of those plants have only been in there for a couple weeks so they will fill in. Even when I had a tree and thick coverage before he didn’t hide in it that much. He spends most of his time basking or around the edges of the enclosure.

Ya it works awesome but unfortunately it’s 4 feet from end to end so I wouldn’t be able to fit 2 cages on it without risking the water going out instead of in. The next size up that I could fit 3 cages on is 4x8 so way to wide. I think I’m going to use something as a temporary drainage and take the 2 that I have and cut the ends off and seal them together with the liquid rubber so it’s one big drainage table with 3 cages on it.

So I just weighed Lennon and he’s about 208g so not as big as I thought but still big for a panther. I’m gunna feel bad breeding him with Cynthia she’s only about 78g.

OMG! Poor Cynthia! I hope their breeding doesn’t last very long or the poor girl will be crushed.

And sheesh - I get the feeling that Lily's an especially petite panther! She weighs in at 55g at a bit over a year old, and strikes me as somewhat plump for her frame!

Ya that does seem a bit small. She may still have some growing to do though. From What I seen on google average for a femal is 60-100 grams and 140-180 grams for a male. Seems I may need to put Lennon on a diet.

Yeah, I worry that her extended stay (8months) at a petstore has negatively impacted her growth... guess we'll see! Girl can eat, let me tell you! Pretty sure she has a miniature black hole in her somewhere.
