Leon don't like Dubia's

So, after some effort, I finally got my 100 nymph Dubias from the post office. Brought them home, set up their roach home in hopes of breeding (got 7 pairs of breeding adults). I put a couple in Leon's cage and he could care less. I stuck a cricket in there and he ate it out of my hand.
I don't think the dubia's make enough movement for him. I know he gets excited when he sees the legs and antennae moving around. The dubia's look more like little ovals gliding along the surface.
I'm going to to try again tomorrow morning.
I must say though they don't stink whatsoever. The breeding adults are scary. Big as hell and strong when they move around it's startling. I'm worried they are going to try to eat my brain tonight when I go to bed.

I just introduced a dubia to my adult male veiled today and he went running to hide! LOL I put it in his feeding dish and it is still there. I am going to leave it there as his only food for a couple days and see if he finally recognizes it as food. I want my chams to get off the stinky crickets.

Well,
I tried again this morning. He ate two reluctantly. One was crawling on him. He ate another cricket out of my hand. I don't like the Dubia in that they are hard to handle. I was really hoping to get rid of crickets for good, but it looks like Leon has a preference.
I guess I'll put these up for sale

Dont' feed them yet - wait till they're in the hundreds. He'll go for them, it just might take a while. Try hand feeding. Most of my animals dont' like dubia roaming their cage, as they just hide on the bottom (I don't like that either...). Hand feeding them works. Then, they'll go for dubia in a bowl.

Just don't feed themoff until our colony is huge. Spare males are ok though. They're just "useless feeders".
