Light Location

Where does everyone put their basking light? Shinning from the top or side of the cage? Most pics I see are of the light on top of the cage.

Hi mr green

The reason you see most cages with basking lamps placed on top of the cage is because this is where they should be located, it then gives your cham chance to thermoregulate correctly by climbing up to the lamp for heat (mimics sun) and then when at correct temps he/she can start feeding etc or go lower in the cage if he/she needs to for cooler temps
