Light outlet timers

I googled “outlet timer with multiple settings” and lots of results popped up!
Here’s two options that seem good, though I’ve never used them (I use a regular power strip with multiple analog timers to plug things into- I get lots of power blips, so this way I at least know the duration of things are the same even if the time differs). Hope this helps!

Thank you. Everytime I looked I found stuff with on off and that’s it and I have his lights on and off 3 times throughout the day with his mist king going off 3 times a day.

Wasn’t finding something with multiple options for them.

I’m getting the geeni thing.
 
I plug a power strip into a single timer and run multiple lights from that. There are timers with dual plug outlets but that is the most I have seen commercially available. Be sure to look for a heavy duty timer so you get the 3 prong outlet or you will need an adapter.

I have mine are technically separate, except my lights.

There are a couple ways to go about this. You can either just find a multi-outlet timer, or if you don't like the ones you come across, like me, you can do what I did.

I bought single outlet timers and utilized them the best I could. For my lights, since they always operate at the same times, they're on a surge protector. That surge protector is then plugged into an outlet timer, which is plugged directly in the wall. This allows me to control that entire surge protector, with 1 outlet timer.

For my mister and fogger, I have them on a separate surge protector, and then I have 2 outlet timers plugged into the surge protector outlets, which my mister and fogger are plugged into. Some of my older timers are no longer available. So I will post the ones I've been getting lately. They both work great.

AND you can set them to "remember last setting" (I forget how its worded). This way if your power goes out and comes back on..... your stuff doesn't just "turn on" based on a default setting. Everything picks up where it left off and you don't have to worry about things like......your mister and fogger dumping on your chameleon in the middle of the day like I did after a power outage, before I realized they had these settings :ROFLMAO:

So 100 years later I am back with your review of the geeni.

I love this thing and how I can have things change through out the day to create a naturalistic experience for Leon. The lighting timers are in sync with the mist king timer to go off to create a natural rain shower. So before the lights turn on for the morning around 5:30 Leon has a rain shower at 6 (lights turn on) the sun starts coming out. At 12 the sun goes behind clouds (lights turn off) and at 12:15 Leon has another brief rain shower then at 12:45 (lights turn on) the clouds clear out and the sun comes back they turn off at 8 and Leon gets another rain shower at 8:15

I love that I can make his life more realistic and his little Leon brain already knows once the light goes out it is time to find somewhere because it’s about to rain.

😊 I learned it from the bill strand podcasts, since Leon is alittle special and doesn’t quite drink the way a normal chameleon would.

There are 2 always on outlets I have my mist king plugged into one of those.

I would recommend this to anyone who wants to create that natural experience for their Chameleon. It’s easy to use, it’s perfect.

I can tell! When I was looking for Spike, all I found was the manual ones for surge protectors. Which I ended up using but hated. I can't trust the manual ones lol So I bought myself a few digital single outlet timers, as mentioned before. But this allows me to condense everything to 1 plug. This is awesome. Comes Sunday, I can't wait!

I dislike that they do that, but it's not a problem since 6 is more than enough for what I need. Thanks for the heads up!
 
That is AWESOME! I’m definitely getting that when I upgrade my surge protector next (probably sooner rather than later now lol)!
 
They only problem I’m noticing is since it’s WiFi and mine is satellite when it’s been rainy likes it’s been sometimes it doesn’t follow schedule but can’t help the weather.

Yeah thats kind of a unique situation. This setup is really for a more secure connection. Maybe the manual timers would suit you better?
